About AC3E
The Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E) is a leading applied-research institution that drives innovation and sustainability through science, technology and collaboration in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.
Based at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM), an institution with a long tradition of excellence in engineering and technology, AC3E brings together the best engineering and technology talent from UTFSM and its partner universities, fostering collaboration between academia, industry and society to strengthen Chile's technological capabilities.
Since our founding in 2014 under the Basal Program of Chile's National Research and Development Agency (ANID), we have built a solid scientific and technological network that connects research, education and innovation across Chile and beyond.
Through collaboration with more than 25 international partners, we develop joint initiatives in areas such as microelectronics, control systems, power electronics, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, voice research and predictive health monitoring, among others. These partnerships expand our global presence, strengthen the exchange of knowledge and boost our contribution to sustainable and technological development. We are committed to turning Chile's research excellence into global impact.
