AC3E invites postdoctoral researchers holding a current ANID postdoctoral grant or project to take part in the Centre's Applied Research initiatives and goals. Under ANID's policy for Applied Research Centres (CIA 2025), researchers who hold a project or grant of their own, and whose research subject falls within the Centre's research areas, can take part directly.
The Centre's research is organised into seven multidisciplinary lines (artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, biomedical signals and systems, computer vision and robotics, control and sensing technologies, smart electrical systems and converter-based technologies, the internet of things and edge computing, and power electronics and energy storage) which converge on three areas of impact: Smart Industry, Energy Transition and Health Technologies.
Where the postdoctoral researcher holds a FONDECYT/ANID postdoctoral project or grant of their own, the Centre offers a contract of at least five hours a week, and additional funding may be available for operating costs aligned with the Centre's goals.
Main duties
- The postdoctoral project or grant awarded must fall within the research areas described.
- Take part in industrial R&D initiatives, turning research findings into practical applications for industry.
- Work with the Technology Transfer and Business Unit and the Development Unit on identifying and designing applied solutions.
- Take an active part in meetings with the Centre's researchers, professionals and industrial partners.
