Description
A hardware and software platform that detects changes in water darkening at the BBAC experimental unit. A low-cost prototype built around photosensors measures turbidity and sends the readings over the mobile network (3G/4G) to an online platform that receives, stores and displays them in real time, and it leaves behind the technical documentation needed to scale the solution commercially.
Problem solved
It makes it possible to monitor the bacteriological quality of water autonomously in rural settings, where keeping track of that parameter is usually difficult and expensive to sustain over time.
