Neuroimaging analysis method development

Description

Development of methods to parcellate the cortical surface of the brain from tractography, a non-invasive technique that reconstructs the main white matter pathways and makes it possible to explore brain structure in living people and across large groups of subjects.

Problem solved

Tractography datasets are large and complex, and can run to millions of fibres, so standard methods do not process them well. The project produced a new method that describes the human connectome better and that is expected to be used in the analysis of future clinical studies.
