Main objective
AC3E applies the principles of electrical and electronic engineering to the development of medical devices, protocols and other tools that support the diagnosis and treatment of a range of conditions. Its research lines include biomedical signals, sensors and devices; neural and rehabilitation engineering; physiological modelling; and a more recent line in biomedical data analytics.
That last one answers to an increasingly robust capability in data analysis and artificial intelligence, in step with a global health industry moving towards the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence.
The main objective of this area is to turn research into solutions that support the health industry in Chile.
